DM of the Rings Remaster LI: The Tenacity of Greed

The saying is, “No honor among thieves”, but I think it applies just as well to the other character classes. I would not be shocked at all to find a paladin and a cleric arguing over which one of them gets to pry the gold fillings from the teeth of their recently slain companion, and if they are obliged to resurect him afterwards.

Originally players did this because the rules only awarded experience points when they acquired treasure. The rules have since been revised, so now people are free to act this way out of naked greed.

Sims 4 Overthinking: The Decade Procrastination

The next step to installing the laundry room is to put in tile. They’d both commented a hope to avoid the work and expense, but the idea of a unlucky laundry room flood including carpet has set them straight. They were both lying about not wanting to do it anyway.

Kelly and Logan have been both complaining about the workload of the project, but neither of them are actually excited for it to be over. Despite the kicked up dust and questionable old paint they’re having to reckon with, it’s at least something to do. It’s summer now, and Logan won’t be back in school for months. Last summer he was depressed, something he’d never really grappled with before, and mostly was holed up in his room. Now, spending time with his mom and getting something done feels good. He really doesn’t want the list of tasks to end.

Wednesday Action Log 12-20-23

This week I’ve gotten sick again and played Tears of the Kingdom. I’m liking the building so far and the weapon fussing is nice, but the old shrines and robots disappearing is kind of weird. There is probably some dialogue about it somewhere but I haven’t found it. I have a bad habit of not talking to NPCs.

I like the new shrines. With the new abilities the shrines are more open ended and creative rather than linear.

I appreciate that there are dungeons…but the one I did was pretty short (At about the length 2-3 shrines). The ability reward you get from dungeons also seems worse and harder to use than the last game, at least the one I got. Maybe the others are better. I plan on playing more but at this moment I’m to busy not wanting to be sick to get anything done.

Next Wednesday will be after Christmas, so Merry Christmas/Holidays to you.

What are you guys playing?

SWTOR: Rix’larril’an of the Ascendancy 2.02 – Legends of the Wall

“THE Wall” bears a strong resemblance to every other “wall” that delineates a separate area in the Kaas City vicinity. More of a staging area and choke point than a fortress or defense, “The Wall” is nonetheless more fully populated than any previous area beyond the actual city edges we have visited. Shuttles, med tents, multiple squads of soldiers, and even a few Sith have taken up residence in various areas; although they mostly seem to be waiting for someone else to do something. Watcher Two told us to look for three individuals at “The Wall:” Captain Sarnova, the commander of an elite squad of shock troopers sent to infiltrate Lord Grathan’s compound; the duty officer in charge of the ravine crossing leading to Grathan’s front yard, and a Sith Acolyte called Sandor, who will relate recent intelligence on a Separatist group that Intelligence has typically dismissed. I would rather deal with the military; unfortunately a young man in a Dromund Kaas military uniform and carrying a lightsaber approaches me as I leave the speeder pad.

This is a Personal Post (Yuck)

So, I was meant to be writing my Sims 4 Overthinking post, but, you may have noticed that I’m not.

I need to put something together real quick to explain that Charlie’s series will no longer be hosted here. I don’t know if they’re going to take it somewhere else or not, I’ll let them decide that, but either way it won’t be here.

I haven’t mentioned it, to avoid airing my bullshit onto strangers, (which is obviously what I am now doing) but Charlie and I split up almost five months ago. Them and Elliot had been split already for over a year, so there’s no crossfire involved, just the end of a long term relationship. Things just suck. They’ve moved out and we’ve split what assets we had, but removing them from the rotation here was something I wanted to (and couldn’t) avoid.

Their content should be somewhat replaced by something Peter is working on which I’m really enjoying the first drafts of.

This week I’ll take the short post with the silver lining I can. I got home from surgery last Wednesday only to find myself suddenly symptomatic of strep throat on top of recovery from paying someone to rip bones out of my face. I’m tired.

Sorry this is a bummer-fest. Maybe I’ll chant ‘Dark Souls is too hard!” a few times and see what fascinating beings pop out of the wood work. Like how they throw pumpkins full of raw meat to bored lions. Enrichment.
