I’m milling around the mall today and I spot Scrapland in the bargain bin for $4.99. I’m thinking to myself: I avoided this game on purpose when it was new. Why was that again? Annoying missions? Erm. Dumb plot? I don’t think so. Ah well, you can’t go wrong for a fiver. Even if it sucks.
I get it home and make with the installing. Once it’s all done I try to run the game. It says I need to reboot to finish installing the “Protection System”. Ah DANGIT!
Now I remember why I’d been avoiding it. Now it’s too late.
Note to American McGee and the goofs at Enlight software: Nobody wants to steal your lackluster game. Get over yourselves.

Few people remember BioWare's Jade Empire, but it had a unique setting and a really well-executed plot twist.
Starforce has been responsible for severing my relationship with several game makers. It can be circumvented easily by the hackers, but the average shmoe who bought the game legally ends up with this disease infecting their computer. It’s evidence of dinosaur thinking.
Sheesh. there should be a website to keep track of games that f*ck up your system when you install them. Spread the word to our gaming brothers, so to speak.
I don’t understand American McGee. If I ever come out with a game and call it “Alexican McDoenau’s Blastopia”, you are allowed to stab me.
It’s not too late. You can still evacuate non-executable data and format the winchester in that box, and thus salvage at least the data and hardware.
