Another PC Golden Age?
Is it real? Is PC gaming returning to its former glory? Sort of. It's complicated.

What Does a Robot Want?
No, self-aware robots aren't going to turn on us, Skynet-style. Not unless we designed them to.

Cool die, I like how it sort of blends black and blue. The DM continues to be terrible, since ten just means 50%, right?
Only if the target number is a multiple of 5 plus one.
Because the number 10 on a d20 corresponds to the numbers 46 to 50 on a percentile dice.
So if the target number is 48/100, obtaining 10/20 corresponds to both a success or a failure.
Meaning that Frodo would be some sort of…uncertainty Ring Wraith?
If that hand rolling the dice is any indication, our beleaguered DM is a woman!
It was a different hand in the original, so they must have reshot this in the remaster. I’d bet on it being the hand of one of Shamus children.
If you are going by digit ratio then I can assert myself as a counter… I am cis-het male and my index finger is longer than my ring finger. Aside from that one little detail I am not particularly feminine, although I guess if you just see my hand you might conclude otherwise.
I’m too lazy to check the original, but this hand – looking from the perspective we have, the only thing I find particularly feminine about it is long, well maintained nails. And those could be had by anyone. Well maintained nails are only customarily connected to females. Now, if we saw more movement or the other side, we could infer more, but still… hairs can be shaven, nails can be maintained, on male hands, or all hands, you can have nice hands!
(If it’s not obvious I tried to channel Theoden right at the end – try imagining him speaking it)
I do appreciate Legolas’s player’s enthusiasm for this roll.
I wrote a comment with a link to Darths and Droids and I don’t see it anymore. Did it get eaten by the spam filter?
First comment on this post from a couple of weeks ago, if we’re thinking of the same thing.
