The Mistakes DOOM Didn't Make
How did this game avoid all the usual stupidity that ruins remakes of classic titles?
Welp, that was a thing. Poor Josh though, getting Genji twice in a row in MH.
Josh was talking about the fact that it seemed odd that getting damaged takes you out of cloak and I think it’s designed to get in, while the teleporter is getting out. During one of the dev streams he was placing his beacon, stealthing in, doing damage, then teleporting out (right next to a health pack he had hacked.) The teleporter stays on the ground for 15 seconds which is plenty time to do stuff.
Though you definitely hit the nail on the head for her role, she definitely seems to be a support just as much of an offensive flanker. You teleport behind, hack the tank to prevent defensive moves (or shut down ults) and then try to take down squishy or targets.
Plus, on certain maps, keeping 2-3 health packs hacked(and having a coordinated team) could replace having a secondary healer. No proof yet, of course, but I’m waiting to see what the pro teams do with her.
And here I thought the stream was going to be on a Friday. Doing it during a week when most people work pretty much excludes any European from viewing it. A shame, cause I would have liked seeing it.
