DM of the Rings Remastered CXLIV: The Long-Expected Parting
I’m sorry I missed last week. Genuinely. Toward the end of the week before last, I got what I thought at the time was a sinus infection. Last weekend I was utterly miserable and in constant pain. Normally the common sinus meds or even pain relievers don’t work on my sinuses, or not well anyway. But; I did finally take some ibuprofen. It surprisingly (only in my case) helped, and the situation has slowly improved since. I’m still trying to manage pain, and while there is possibly an infection going on, I never developed any *other* symptoms of an infection. There is clearly some kind of inflammation and/or blockage and on-line searches point at sinusitis. Which I already suspected was a problem. I would really like to do outpatient surgery to clear out my sinuses.

Hey everybody! For this week’s article I’ll be glazing you all. Christmas is my favorite holiday so I won’t be posting next week. I’ll be spending the majority of the week spending time with friends and family. So if you can stomach some earnest love and appreciation for you guys, as well as a bit of me opening up about my personal life and what may color my posts on here, read on. Regardless, have a great holiday season whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Festivus, or any other winter celebration. You deserve to enjoy this otherwise miserable season however you see fit and I hope you have a great time.

This week I’ve finally started playing something new.
Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s taken awhile for me to finally get around to playing it, but I’ve been in a rut, and my sibling wanted to play it with me, so here we are. It’s defiantly a bit outside of my normal games (Almost exclusively roguelikes), but it proving to just be a very good game. My sibling has played it a few times before, so they’re trying to play somewhat properly, and I’m running around looking in every single vase, crate, and burlap sack, that I can find, in hopes of finding a tiny amount of gold.
I didn’t get any farther in Slay the Spire. Still on the same ascension as last week.
What’s everyone else doing this week?
DISCLAIMER: I will not be spoiling anything for anyone in this post. This is a post whining about spoilers and I try not to be THAT big of a hypocrite. So feel free to read without worry.
Recently the first part of the final season of “Stranger Things” came out and I was excited to watch it, but I’ve been sick for a month now. I wanted to enjoy the watch and trying to enjoy a show while I’m mostly deaf from a bad double ear infection and sniffling the whole time kind of takes away from a viewing experience. So I waited. I waited and I waited and I waited until I made a mistake that I make pretty much every day. I got on TikTok. Only this time there were greater consequences than brainrot.

Another uneventful week.
Still playing Slay the Spire here and there. I’ve only beaten ascension level 13 over the whole week, and I don’t know how long it’ll take to beat the next one.
I’m starting to think that I should invest in a new game. The only game I bought this whole year was Balatro.
