    The internetz love you, Shamus.

    I bein’ jealous.

    Great video. XD

  2. Shinjin says:

    Ok, I liked that.

  3. RCTrucker7 says:

    Good stuff internet, good stuff!

  4. Mad Flavius says:

Absolutely brilliant. Having watched the Watchmen trailer many, many times, I must say the author of this mash-up did an exquisite job of matching action from Wall-E to the music and sound effects. A great way to start an otherwise dreary sort of Monday (what other kind is there?).

  5. AFAB says:

Apparently, Watchmen trailer mashups are starting
to become a meme on the internets.

And when are we going to see your new computer? ;)

  6. Maybe it’s because I possess the pesky double X chromosomes, but I just didn’t enjoy the Watchmen movie. I found it to be…

    boring.

It was overly long, the sex and violence seemed more than a little gratuitous (“OK. They’re having sex. I get it. Can we get on with the rest of the story now?”), and I found myself not really giving a damn about any of the characters.

Oh, and I was completely distracted by how much Rorschach looked like Danny Bonaduce.

I was interested in seeing Watchmen with a friend, but he doesn’t like overly violent or sexually explicit stuff, and runs most movies by a website called Kids in Mind:

    http://www.kids-in-mind.com/

After seeing the breakdown they did on Watchmen, I lost my interest. They detail EVERYTHING even remotely objectionable.

The WALL-E/Watchmen mashup is still funny though.

  8. LintMan says:

Is this “no longer available” for anyone else?

  9. Kilmor says:

I do believe that is “Made of Win”

  10. Xpovos says:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

  11. froogger says:

    I think: Meh
Could be because I haven’t seen either.
    Thanks anyway.

  12. JB says:

The Watchmen movie, like the cartoon, is definitely not a movie for kids. Both the story, the violence, the nudity and the length of the movie is targeted towards adults.

And I’m really happy that it is, most moives are already dumbed down to be pg-13 and fit the attention span of the least common denominator.

We need some fantasy/science fiction that are targetting an adult audience now and then.

  13. Kell says:

“Both the story, the violence, the nudity and the length of the movie is targeted towards adults.”

    All both of them, eh?

  14. Ravens_cry says:

To quote Smiggle, “You RUINS IT!”
While I enjoyed Watchmen, and I enjoyed Wall-E, this, eh, I didn’t care for. Oh I can see a lot of hard work was put into this, and production value wise, yes, it paid off. But, I just. . . didn’t like it. It lacked the raw edge of Watchmen, though they certainly picked the best possible scenes to try and fit that feeling from material in Wall-E, and it took away the adorable woobie cute-osity of Wall-E. So all smashed together I just got an emotional grey tone, a great big meh. So sorry, much effort was put into this, that is plain to see. But the results just don’t work for me.

  15. Sheer_FALACY says:

MintSkittle: I think that’d look pretty bad for ANY rated R movie. Also, it reloads randomly.

And the fact that they put “hippie” in the profanity section is just silly.

  16. ClearWater says:

I checked WALL-E on that kids-in-mind site. The movie has some sex/nudity and violence/gore in it! For example:

A man fights with a robot, and the robot hits the man and hurts him slightly.

    or worse:

A robot is crushed and it is not clear if he will be okay.

  17. Rowan says:

That website is hilarious! Reminds me of the old http://www.capalert.com/ but even funnier in it’s someone-bumping-his-head-might-seriously-damage-my-children mentality.

  18. gyfrmabrd says:

I find the cold, distanced, analytical tone in which the “offensive” content of Watchmen is described actually much more disturbing than anything in the movie…

  19. Stuart says:

    Dear, Mintskittle:

Thankyou for the link to kids-in-mind. My life is complete! :-)
