Another Mass Effect 2 comic. I don’t want to give away too much about who you’re talking to, but there are some who call him… TIM?
Bethesda NEVER Understood Fallout
Let's count up the ways in which Bethesda has misunderstood and misused the Fallout property.
Steam Summer Blues
This mess of dross, confusion, and terrible UI design is the storefront the big publishers couldn't beat? Amazing.
The Best of 2011
My picks for what was important, awesome, or worth talking about in 2011.
Charging More for a Worse Product
No, game prices don't "need" to go up. That's not how supply and demand works. Instead, the publishers need to be smarter about where they spend their money.
Denuvo and the "Death" of Piracy
Denuvo videogame DRM didn't actually kill piracy, but it did stop it for several months. Here's what we learned from that.

Those are my feelings exactly about spoiler warnings.
PS, I love your “nearly three comments!” thing.
On a side note, replacing “Thresher Maw” with something like “sand monster” would have been nice for all the non-ME2 players.
Still, I liked it (because I’m an ME2 player), and I liked the punchline.
Thresher-Maw doesn’t bring to mind fluffy and cuddly, unless it’s also huge and bristling with rows and rows of increasingly sharp teeth. So you know it sort of works…
Besides I’d rather this than CAD levels of explaining the joke for the reader.
I haven’t played either ME, but I kind of found “some who call him TIM” almost more amusing than the comic itself.
I don’t really get why people call him TIM. Do people abbreviate “the”? If I would shorten it I would go for “IM” for “Illusive Man” simply. Or I would just spell out “Illusive Man” because I’m not lazy and I type pretty fast.
Yes, we abbreviate “the”, because “TIM” is pronounceable as a familiar common name, while “IM” is not.
It’s a Monty Python joke.
Exactly. The question mark at the end is the key.
Nice Monty Python reference…that rabbit is dynamite!
Another good joke that’s spot-on :)
If humans are the appetizer (for the thresher maws, I suppose?) then I imagine the hanar make a tasty soup, the big fat elcor are the main course, and certain parts of the asari make a fine dessert.
Screw the main course, I’ll just go straight for the dessert =X
Hmm, Shepard has a bad memory, or I do. I don’t remember Cerberus feeding colonists to a thresher maw. I remember them feeding marines to a thresher maw, and turning colonists into husks…
Oh, well, if it’s Shepard, it’s easy to blame it on the traumatic events of the tutorial. If it’s me, guess I’m just getting old.
Cerberus knew about the Maws all along, they just didn’t tell anyone, leading to the colony being founded, then getting eaten, ect.
Shepard has been just rebuilt after getting spaced and then splattering across a moon two years ago. There is a good chance he isn’t just missing a few memories.
I would have loved a conservation with a past character that involved confused memories.
Shepard:”Liara! What was that kiss for? You know my heart is for Kaiden.”
Liara:”But Kaiden is a guy and your not gay. We even slept together!”
Shepard:”I’m not? We did?”
