“Plot” is what the DM does to amuse himself when the players aren’t talking.
I can’t imagine the frustration of trying to get together a game in ye olden days. There was no choosing a group based on who gets along best, or whos playstyle you actually mesh with. You got whoever was in your general vicinity that was willing to play that you were pretty sure you weren’t going to strangle after prolonged social contact. Now through the magic of the internet I can ask a friend of mine that lives in another country if they’re willing to wake up at 6am every other Saturday to play a game about being an elf and robbing a bank.
Batman: Arkham Origins

A breakdown of how this game faltered when the franchise was given to a different studio.
The Best of 2018

I called 2018 "The Year of Good News". Here is a list of the games I thought were interesting or worth talking about that year.
Wolfenstein II

This is a massive step down in story, gameplay, and art design when compared to the 2014 soft reboot. Yet critics rated this one much higher. What's going on here?
Grand Theft Auto Retrospective

This series began as a cheap little 2D overhead game and grew into the most profitable entertainment product ever made. I have a love / hate relationship with the series.
Zenimax vs. Facebook

This series explores the troubled history of VR and the strange lawsuit between Zenimax publishing and Facebook.
Each time I get to see your remaster on PC instead of my phone I am surprised by how good it looks! Thanks again for your work in making this!
Here the DM is once again reminded that he can always invest Aragorn’s player in the story by just saying an attractive woman is involved.
Instead, he waits in vain for him to read his backstory, which will not happen in this age or the next, and so on until the final days of the sun.
Ok, I’ll bite. Why does an elf want to rob a bank?
The same reason Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain: Because it’s there.
I think you mean “because there’s some saltpeter crystals up there he can grind up and mix with the charcoal and sulfur”
You and I have very different memories of Star Trek V.
I’m pretty sure they only made 4 Star Trek movies and I refuse to accept any evidence to the contrary.
How do you explain Galaxy Quest, then? :P
Elves are basically Turnip Boys.
Elves want you to think that their long loves have made them wise in all matter of disciplines, from the scientific to the artistic and everything in between.
But being around for a few hundred years has just made them really good at tax evasion.
Because that’s where the money is.
