So Technorati is going totally nuts and reporting links that aren’t there. For example, it tells me that this woman linked me twice today, which is a nice trick since she only posted once, and that post did not link anywhere. (This is clearly a fluke. I’m sure there are no links here from that site.)
But what’s REALLY freaking me out as I sit here in a 4a.m. insomnia-induced daze, is that the photograph on the left side of her site looks almost exactly like my son. It’s very odd to visit the blog of a total stranger and see a picture of my own son, looking the way he did about 18 months ago, wearing clothes he’s never owned.
I really should get some sleep.
LATER: I did. It still freaks me out.
Black Desert Online

This Korean title would be the greatest MMO ever made if not for the horrendous monetization system. And the embarrassing translation. And the terrible progression. And the developer's general apathy towards its western audience.
This is Why We Can’t Have Short Criticism

Here's how this site grew from short essays to novel-length quasi-analytical retrospectives.
Final Fantasy X

A game about the ghost of an underwater football player who travels through time to save the world from a tick that controls kaiju satan. Really.
The Best of 2019

I called 2019 "The Year of corporate Dystopia". Here is a list of the games I thought were interesting or worth talking about that year.
Spec Ops: The Line

A videogame that judges its audience, criticizes its genre, and hates its premise. How did this thing get made?
Better get Akismet. It looks like the comment spammer that has been hitting me has just found you. Actually, as few as are getting through, I suspect you already have it operating, but just in case, I thought I’d recommend it.
hmm, well, sorry, no need to be paranoid, I’ve never been here before and doubt I will ever come again. I only came here because you came to my site. Trust me, I’ll never link you.
