Comic Book Creator is a lot of fun. In fact, it’s responsible for the total lack of posting here on Monday. It’s a handy tool for making making comic pages, arranging images, adding text bubbles, and so on.
Back when I was writing The Lemon I found that making comics was my favorite part of the site. At the bottom of this post is a comic I did back in 2003. I had a blast with it, but making comics using Paint Shop or Photoshop is a major pain in the butt. The comic below took me the better part of a day to put together. I think it would be a one or two hour job using CBC.
I enjoy making these little comics, although my desire to make them exceeds my ability to fill them with interesting content.
Oh yeah, the comic is huge so I’m not going to put it on the front page. Read on to see the whole thing:

Three years later this thing looks pretty dated, news-wise. Still, a few of the ideas are still relevant.
Gamers Aren’t Toxic

This is a horrible narrative that undermines the hobby through crass stereotypes. The hobby is vast, gamers come from all walks of life, and you shouldn't judge ANY group by its worst members.
What Does a Robot Want?

No, self-aware robots aren't going to turn on us, Skynet-style. Not unless we designed them to.
The Best of 2019

I called 2019 "The Year of corporate Dystopia". Here is a list of the games I thought were interesting or worth talking about that year.
Starcraft 2: Rush Analysis

I write a program to simulate different strategies in Starcraft 2, to see how they compare.
Marvel's Civil War

Team Cap or Team Iron Man? More importantly, what basis would you use for making that decision?
“my desire to make them exceeds my ability to fill them with interesting content.”
Damn, story of my life. I want that for my epitaph.
Three years later it is dicovered that the intelligence was all wrong, that it was a stringray navy force that was the danger. Too late!
Wow. Steve Irwin, the “amphibian expert” in the joke above, died Sept 4, three days before I posted this. He was diving and a stingray stung him in the chest as he swam by. Sort of takes the humor out of the thing. Stingray are not usually fatal. Irwin is only the 17th person known to have died from a stingray. (I guess it’s only fatal if you’re hit near the heart, where the poison will induce cardiac arrest.)
The top right of the comic is conflicting with the layout of the site.
