{"id":59593,"date":"2025-10-22T00:01:35","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T04:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shamusyoung.com\/twentysidedtale\/?p=59593"},"modified":"2025-10-21T23:09:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T03:09:01","slug":"wednesday-action-log-10-22-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shamusyoung.com\/twentysidedtale\/?p=59593","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Action Log 10-22-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week I&#8217;ve been playing <strong>Slay the Spire<\/strong>, with a few Next Fest games mixed in.<\/p>\n<p>Slay the Spire is going well, I got to ascension ten with The Silent, and finally trying to play The Watcher better.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from that, I played the demo for <strong>YapYap.<\/strong> A game that is pretty much the reverse of <strong>R.E.P.O.<\/strong> instead of collecting valuables you&#8217;re destroying them, and instead of robots you play as little wizards that can cast spells with voice commands. Unsurprisingly it&#8217;s a bit janky at times, and the UI can be unclear due to a complicated font. But it&#8217;s a good idea nonetheless, and I look forward to seeing what happens with it.<\/p>\n<p>The other game I played was<strong> Tears of Metal.<\/strong> A rougelike with gameplay that feels a bit like <strong>Hades.<\/strong> But instead of playing as the son of Hades, you&#8217;re leading a Scottish battalion trying to take back your homeland. I like how many fodder enemies there are. I don&#8217;t know what else to say.
