\nMy DM conquers this by having us do quests as some kingdoms’ ‘official quest doers’. We do the puzzles and get through the challenges, and always make gold no matter what we find in the dungeon\/house\/inn\/abandoned village\/whale’s stomach. We just report back and get paid for our time, and sent off to the official magic item store to pick out our own loot. We get paid enough we don’t feel the need to rip apart the map (although we’re still D&D players, we still take the loot offered along the way).<\/p>\n
