So that justifies the name of this blog for another year.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that really bugs me about the whole game is the response that is both reflexively defensive and also casually dismissive and brimming with contempt for newcomers. The whole &#8220;git gud&#8221; thing is just insufferable.<\/p>\n<p><em>Allan: I hate this cake.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Bob: Well get good at enjoying it! The cake doesn&#8217;t suck, YOU SUCK!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ugh.<\/p>\n<p>There are no words or arguments that will cause me to enjoy learning a difficult task with a 15 minute retry cost<span class='snote' title='1'>It&#8217;s not really fifteen minutes! It&#8217;s only thirteen! And twelve if you find a shortcut! And seven when you&#8217;ve memorized the foes and know which ones you can run past! And there&#8217;s a speedruner who can do it in five!
