Right now there’s this debate going on about the performance of the PS4 compared to the Xbox One. I don’t own either console, but I have spent mare than my share of time fussing with framerate and resolution, both as a consumer and a developer. So my column this week<\/a> is a primer on the topic that will hopefully give people a sense of perspective before they beat each other to death with charts and graphs of benchmarking results. <\/p>\n

And just informally: How many of us are console gamers? I know I lean pretty hard towards the PC, simply because it’s most convenient for me to game at my computer (where I don’t need to share) than in the living room (where I share with four other people) and because PC gaming is far cheaperProvided that – like me – that you would own a gaming-capable PC whether you played games on it or not.<\/span>. I wonder how much of this impacts the shape of our community here. <\/p>\n
