13:19 Mailbag: Diecast RSS Feed and Phasmaphobia in VR

Hi, It’s great that you are filling the void left by your dad, whom I sorely miss.

1) Will you add episodes to Diecast’s RSS feed or create your separate feed? What about uploading to Youtube?

2) Did you play or plan to play Phasmophobia in VR? What VR headsets do you have? Regards, Simplex

18:38 Mailbag: Celeste

Hello, everyone!

I recently discovered Celeste and really, really love it.

Have any of y’all played it? If so, what did you think?

Yours very truly,

Bell (she/her)

  1. Joshua says:

I saw the Phasmophobia and thought it said Phantasmagoria, and was like “That FMV series from the 90’s is back?”

    1. Chad Miller says:

I’ve regularly made that exact mistake since Phasmophobia’s release.

  2. Bell says:

Hi, it’s me. Thanks for answering my question!

Could you please remove my last name from the post? My email automatically signs everything I send, but for Reasons I’m a little cagey about having my full name on the internet.

    1. Bay says:

Hey, no problem! I went ahead and stripped it from the audio file as well. Sorry about that!

      1. Bell says:

        No worries. Thanks again!

  3. William H says:

Any chance that you’ll play Persona 5 Royal now that it’s on the Switch?

  4. ColeusRattus says:

    Hey guys!

I actually do stream and record VR games, and my viewership (miniscule as it may be) does not ever complain about motion sickness with my streams. So go for it. And if you need help setting it up (or a fourth player), hit me up!

Also, I enjoy that you’re doing your own thing with hosting a podcast rather than strictly folowing shamus’ template. Any plans on getting Paul back on the show occasionally?

  5. Dreadjaws says:

I was never bothered by the Master Cycle in BOTW, considering that this game makes a lot of use of ancient lost tech. Hell, one of your main tools in the game is basically an advanced iPad. And it’s a motorcycle really somehow less realistic than a freaking mech? Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure you can’t just use the motorcycle early. Not only you need to complete a long set of missions to get it but are those missions even available before you finish the story mode? At least in my case they only showed up after I finished the main story (and I bought the game with the DLC at the same time).

I mean, sure, you could say this undermines the horse system if the thing was available from the start, but come on. By the time you get the Master Cycle you’re basically done with the game, unless you’re deliberately avoiding side quests before doing the DLC, I guess.

Or are you saying that unlocking the motorcycle in the DLC leaves it available from the start for a second playthrough? I can see how that would be annoying, but I’ve only played the game once, so I wouldn’t know.

    1. Vernal_ancient says:

While I definitely wouldn’t call a motorcycle less realistic than a mech, if it’s supposed to be a Divine Beast then it breaks the animal theming the other four beasts have, which a robot horse wouldn’t (although it would still be a bit incongruous just for the size difference between it and the other beasts)

  6. Vernal_ancient says:

I think an early draft of Link’s Crossbow Training had Link going to the future and getting a motorcycle (and a gun) so the Master Cycle was probably a reference to that

Haven’t bought the dlc so I can’t really comment whether it breaks the systems for me or not
