If you’ve ever wondered what Spoiler Warning would look like without my steady hand on the wheel, this is your chance to find out. Last week I told the crew I was sick, and asked them to go on without me. So they decided to act like… well, you’ll see.

The “Part 1” business makes me think that there might be MORE of this idiocy? I don’t know. Maybe that’s just Josh trolling us on another level? I have no idea. If things go to plan then we’ll be returning to Mass Effect 3 in the coming week.

If you really need something more analytic and less spastic, then check out the new Errant Signal, which is on Photorealism.

  1. Varre says:

My god, that was glorious. I am amazed at how quickly that devolved into ramdon ganking and backstabbing.

    1. The Defenestrator says:

What do you mean “devolved into”?

    2. SleepingDragon says:

This is Calvinball of the FPS genre.

      1. Jarenth says:

Though experiment: imagine Josh playing actual Calvinball.

        1. crossbraindedfool says:

The laws of physics start bugging out?

  2. The Defenestrator says:

There needs to be more of this.

    1. IFS says:

Yes, this needs to be the new half life 2 special episodes.

    2. Lovecrafter says:

I agree completely. If they ever do Episode 1 and 2, it should be done like this.

    3. Venalitor says:

Oh, please let there be more of this. I laughed my heart out. Speaking of which, I can’t find a pulse.

  3. Vagrant says:

Best Spoiler Warning ever. Even better than the Fallout 3 inventory episodes.

    1. Arvind says:

I have no idea what I just saw, but I know it is indeed the best episode ever. Of all episodic things.

      1. Eruanno says:

I’m not sure, Railroad to Nowhere and the episode where Josh breaks Amnesia are still good contenders for that title…

        1. AJ_Wings says:

Nope. The Hive nightclub shootout massacre in DX:HR is still objectively the best!

          1. Eruanno says:

How dare you have a different opinion than me, internet-person! En garde!

  4. Lame Duck says:

It’s almost like Half-Life 2 wasn’t really built to support multiplayer. Or like it was built explicitly for multiplayer. I can’t quite tell which one it is from this video.

  5. Cody211282 says:

New rule-If Glitch is in the video, shenanigans will ensue.

  6. Sozac says:

    Can’t wait for Part 2!

    1. el_b says:

You might be waiting the while, they haven’t even done 8 4 dead 2 yet :P

I wonder if spoiler warning has developed a variant strain on the valve disease, not being able to count past a certain number In its specials? :P

      1. Daemian Lucifer says:

By they, you mean Josh. The episode can still be viewed, only unedited,on their streams.

        1. krellen says:

Josh keeps claiming he needs to “work”, or “sleep”, or “eat”. That man is full of excuses.

  7. Xanyr says:

I think Chris is the best addition to Spoiler Warning because he can do both insightful commentary and analysis. At the same time he can do random crazy bullshit like this.

    1. Aldowyn says:

To be fair pretty much all of them can do that.

    2. Daemian Lucifer says:

Chris does seem like the best player of them all.He hides behind this “Oh noes,Im a n00b” persona, but in the end he always emerges victorious. He is the perfect spy.

      1. Gruhunchously says:

The Spoiler Warning Gods hold him in high favor. It balances out all the time they spend smiting Rutskarn (and, before she left, Mumbles).

      2. Chris might well lack the 1337 skillz one might claim are needed to be “teh awesome,” but I get the impression he wins by pretty much letting the other players defeat themselves.

  8. Corpital says:

This is one of the most things I have ever seen in my life.

Someone should really do a study if people can be genetically coded to be gremlins. Every piece of software touched by the crew touch literally explodes with bugs(in the case of reverse pickpocketing a grenade into a beehive).

    1. Indy says:

I agree. This definitely is one of the most things ever.

  9. X2Eliah says:

Huh. So. How about them multiplayer in games?

    1. Gruhunchously says:

I’d gladly drop any and all single player experiences for this kind of non-stop action, yessir.

      1. X2Eliah says:

Hm, really? In that case, I’ll just say that I’m very glad for the developers that don’t share that viewpoint.

      2. Eruanno says:

I’m not sure, I’d need to get some friends first…

        1. Daemian Lucifer says:

Thats easy, just make a facebook account and befriend a bunch of strangers.

That is what kids today are doing, right?

    2. Daemian Lucifer says:

Its a fun way to kill some time. Not that substantial for anything longer though.

    3. JPH says:

I hope you’re not trying to use this fan-made mod as an argument that multiplayer sucks.

If that’s the case, then I could just as easily use Painkiller Overdose as proof that single player sucks.

  10. Sumanai (Asimech) says:

Well, that was 14 minutes of chaos.

That’s all my brain can produce right now.

  11. LunaticFringe says:

Judging from Glitch, Josh’s play style seems to be genetic. Or with sheer insanity of this episode, contagious.

  12. Sabrdance (MatthewH) says:

Yeah… my eyes my eyes? No that doesn’t seem right. What just happened? Getting warmer.

    That sums my feelings well.

  13. Jace911 says:

This is either Spoiler Warning’s weakest episode or its finest hour. Probably both.

    *gets crushed by falling car*

  14. Deadyawn says:

That was pretty hilarious but seeing as how its synergy I expected nothing less. Also, Funkorama is the best music becuase it makes me remember three-dog getting blown up.

    1. Zagzag says:

Yes… this so much! That and Josh flying across the room after unleashing a mini nuke on Little Lamplight!

      So much nostalgia.

  15. Eljacko says:

Okay. There needs to be an official Spoiler Warning server in Synergy that just does THIS the whole time. More than one if necessary. I don’t know what the player limit cap is.

  16. ThomasWa says:

Only Josh would snipe someone using a saw blade.

  17. swenson says:

That was the single greatest thing I have ever seen. If they can only do this sort of thing when Shamus isn’t around, then I’m sorry, man, but I have to proclaim you a killjoy. :P

  18. slipshod says:

    Best. SW. Ever.

Oh, and Josh’s saw blade snipe kill was incredible. Years of practice on other innocent souls, I guess…

  19. Jexter says:

Unfortunately, trying this with random people online is a great way to get you kicked. Most online Synergy maps just turn into a race to the finish, where the only way to get kills is to run as quickly as you can to keep up with the speedsters at the front of the pack.

  20. LibertarianSDR says:

“Through there is Ravenholm. We…Don’t go there anymore.”

    1. Chauzuvoy says:

On second thought, let’s not go to Ravenholm. It’s a very silly place.

      1. SleepingDragon says:

Well this episode definitely shows us the violence inherent in the system…

    2. GragSmash says:

Ravenholm with 1 player: terrifying. Ravenholm with 4 players, ludicrous.

      1. Gruhunchously says:

It was rather amusing listening while the background music and ambient effects tried desperately to maintain the atmosphere in the face of all the silliness.

    3. Entropy says:

So THAT’S why they don’t go there any more.

      All that murder.

  21. Daemian Lucifer says:

Gli makes for a good Shame replacement.

    1. SleepingDragon says:

Curses, I was hoping nobody made this comment yet, foiled again!

      1. decius says:

I wanted to be the fir

  22. Hoffenbach says:

For the longest time, the Amnesia episode was my favorite episode of Spoiler Warning. Now, it’s this one. Well done.

  23. crossbraindedfool says:

When the Kevin MacLeod piece you used for credits in Season 2 started up I started smiling and thought “Elemental Spoiler Warning : Maximum chaos and silliness.”

  24. Alexander The 1st says:

I propose a drinking game for this series of videos:

    – Take a drink every time someone dies, stacking for multiple deaths at a time.

    – Finish a drink if it’s Josh that dies due to holding a barrel.

    – Take two drinks twice every time someone almost gets progress only for the others to spawn and end up turning it into a bloodbath.

    – Finish a drink every time Campster survives a bloodbath.

    – Take a drink every time Josh survives only to die at the end, and force a total respawn.

I think that should be enough for me to say that I am not liable for any loss of liver or kidney from this drinking game. Also, not liable for alcohol poisoning. Play this game at your own risk.

EDIT: In hindsight, perhaps it would be better to simply put it as “Take a drink everytime someone begins speaking.” That should get one fairly drunk. Shame that Campster didn’t speak as much.

    1. SleepingDragon says:

      That’s because he’s a Silent Assassin!

      1. Ringwraith says:

I think he was just plotting to win instead.

      2. Alexander The 1st says:

So what you’re saying is that he’s Silent But Deadly?

        *Insert fart-related joke here*

    2. Daemian Lucifer says:

Would it be easier to just say:

      Take a drink every time.

      1. Alexander The 1st says:

“Take a drink every minute throughout the whole video.” -That’s how I read this.

Ironically, might be overall better for the liver…

  25. Deadfast says:

OK, this started out pretty funny. But by the time they got to the cars I had problems keeping on my chair. Please let there be more of this!

  26. Cybron says:

The only episode better than this is the Amnesia one. It harkens back to the Fallout 3 days.

    1. el_b says:

I’m still disappointed they never released the The full footage of that amnesia play through. Nothing was Hilarious.

      1. Artur CalDazar says:

I wonder how much of that, as well as of this is just them standing around doing almost nothing.

    2. JPH says:

My favorite is still the Cherry Blossom Murderversary.

      1. el_b says:

that needed more pictures of naked men.

  27. RTBones says:

That was…deliciously silly and sumptuously chaotic. A perfect example and salubrious sample of a fox in Molotov’s hen house chasing Pavlov’s cat while Heisenburg is uncertain of what to do about it all.

  28. guy says:

This is the best worst thing ever.

  29. Johan says:

Enjoyable, but no link to the mod. I’m not saying I can’t google it (found it easily I think), but was it so bad you didn’t really want to give it an audience?

  30. ACman says:

Shamus, you’re just upset that you missed this.

And I demand the rest of this series.
