A three year old girl sums up the plot of Star Wars:

Although, it’s possible she was just reading George Lucas’ original script.</snark>

Man, that is one cute kid.

Jeesus. She is stinkin’ cute. That was almost as good as watching the movie. :)

  2. Skeeve the Impossible says:

hahahahaha….. she called it a pokeball

  3. Kristin says:

“Don’t talk back to Darth Vader or he’ll getcha!”

And thus a (really incredibly cute) 3-year-old gets the entire point of Star Wars.

  4. Segev Stormlord says:

    Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

    So precious.

And she -did- make it sound exciting. Moreso than it actually was.

  5. Zerotime says:

I actually liked her version better than Lucas’ first draft. I mean, at least she didn’t put any pointless sex scenes into the plot.

  6. Joe says:

But don’t talk back to Darth Vader…. he’ll get ya!

  7. Ryan Speck says:

Between this and The Whitest Kids U’Know bashing on Lucas last night, it’s a good day for hatin’ on Star Wars.

  8. Deoxy says:

No, not “for hatin' on Star Wars”, for hatin' on LUCAS. That he managed to make decently enjoyable movies despite his genetic inability to script or plot as well as the average rock is an amazing tribute to his special effects skills (and how bad the 70’s were, that he stood out as “good”).

  9. Ryan Speck says:

Well, Lucas didn’t do any writing except on the first one. And, having seen some of the deleted stuff and original edits, Star Wars was gruesomely boring until it was heavily reedited. It wasn’t a very original or coherent script; it was just fun, mainly because of the actors. That was about the sum total of his writing contribution, aside from the plotting of the next two films.

Really, the guy’s kind of a deranged hack and the best movie he’s done is THX 1138.

  10. Joe says:

And even THX was a ripoff of every other generic Dystopian future story.

  11. Bard says:

Radioland Murders doesn’t get nearly enough credit, in my book. :p

  12. Nilus says:

I love kids. I can’t wait till my little one is older enough to tell me about Star Wars. Of course I hope he loves it, considering we named him Han.

  13. bargamer says:

    AHAHAHA, Pokeball!

  14. Cadamar says:

“Don’t talk back to Darth Vader…”

And a new internet meme is born!!

  15. Fickle says:

    *DIES SO MUCH*

I like the light-up-sword. And Pokeball.

Gotta agreed with Cadamar, this is my new meme of the day. XDDD

  16. Rebecca says:

You know, I was watching “Phantom Menace” and my seven-year-old sister came up, completely unsolicited, pointed at Jar-Jar Binks, and said “I like him!”

I think George Lucas really does know how to appeal to children.

  18. Alex says:

“We’re sorry, this video is no longer available.”

  19. krellen says:

I’ve always thought of Star Wars as the time Lucas rolled a 20. He got lucky, rather than building his work on the back of his own skill.

  20. Cadamar says:

I think she ment Pokie-ball as in a ball that pokes, rather then the pocket monsters kind…

  21. Matis says:

Luck can be a very important attribute. I know that mine is fairly up there (14-15). Skill helps, but so does being in the right place at the right time.

  22. Davesnot says:

Sorry to ruin it for ya.. I have 2 little kids..

    It’s a Pokey ball..

    Great clip!

  23. WysiWyg says:

    Alex: reload the page.

  24. Zaxares says:

    *laughs*

That’s one bright kid. Cute too. She’ll go far one day. ;)

  25. Oleyo says:

    ….can’t….resist….too….cute!

I loved blocking the pokey-ball with the light up sword.

oh, and the shiny guy worries a lot, awesome. :)

  26. Laurel Raven says:

Sorry for commenting so late, just got around to my RSSes…I had to look this one up directly on you-tube, because it wasn’t working on the site for me for some reason, but it was worth it!

SOOO cute! And so accurate, too!

But I also got to see all of the negitive comments that were left, and I have to wonder what is wrong with these people. Granted, something like 98% of the comments weren’t negitive, but those that were…

Anyway, according to the poster, she really did mean pokey ball, not Pokeball…she’s never seen Pokemon.

hehe…”don’t talk back to darth vader…he’ll getcha!”

  27. AndrewNZachsDad says:

As Laurel Raven did, I wish to apologize for my late comment, but I feel that at least one defense of Mr Lucas must be made:

Zerotime said: “I actually liked her version better than Lucas' first draft. I mean, at least she didn't put any pointless sex scenes into the plot.”

In actuality, the liitle one in this video was “reviewing” Episode IV: A New Hope. The pointless sex scenes were in Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. To my recollection, there wasn’t much in EpIV having to do with sex. Leia may have kissed Luke, and in 1977 that may have seemed sexy (or not), but now that we know the nature of their relationship I would guess the number of us who think that kiss is sexy is quiet low (but unfortunately not zero…)

    Thanks for your time,
    Richard

  28. Zerotime says:

AndrewNZachsDad: In one of Lucas’ first drafts for A New Hope, there’s a scene where Luke is caught doing a servant girl in a closet, and another later on where Leia’s ship crash lands on Kashyyyk and she’s dragged out of the wreckage by stormtroopers. Oh, and she’s topless for some reason.

  29. Drue says:

    Obie Kenobie…
I can’t stop laughing at that.
