White and Nerdy

Just hilarious.

This is sheer brilliance. Aside from the words – which are already pretty funny – the thing is packed with little visual jokes. This YouTube version is a bit grainy and lo-res, but the one on google video is a little crisper. At one point we see Al buying what looks like a bootleg copy of Star Wars, but in the higher resolution version you can see he’s getting a copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Clever.

After watching this video I have decided….I am white and nerdy. Oh yeah and Picard does kick Kirks ass.

  2. Shamus says:

Yeeees. Give yourself to the Dork Side of the Forcetm!

  3. MOM says:

I was going to point out that “dork side of the force” is an allusion to
Star WARS and Bogan was talking abbout Star TREK but Dan seems to think it does’t matter. Go figure.

  4. Bogan the Mighty says:

It doesn’t really matter because either way both especially having a trademark after Dork Side of the Force really makes it official of the nerdiness.

  5. Shamus says:

I’m with Bogan, Picard all the way, I prefer Earl Grey to Mr. Fancy-pants kissing every alien female he meets. (At which thought my brain immediately called to mind the dork twins in 16 Candles:
    “An Extraterrestrial? ”
    “No, better.”
“Better than an extraterrestrial? A female extraterrestrial?”)

  6. Evil Otto says:

I’m nothing like that! Do you hear me? NOTHING.

    I don’t speak Kilingon.

  7. Evil Otto says:

Oh, and Kirk kicks ass. Picard’s only real skill was surrendering the ship.

  8. Wonderduck says:

And losing to the Borg. He was good at that.

And not having hair. He was GREAT at not having hair.

Besides, it’s obvious that Cap’n Reynolds would smoke both of them.

“Besides, it's obvious that Cap'n Reynolds would smoke both of them.”

I would totlly watch Star Trek again if they did that. I’d tape that episode and watch it over. And. Over.

    O. M. G. The split second reference to the Star Wars Kid. Al just never disappoints. From Dare to Be Stupid (the first of his albums I heard, way back in Grade 7) to now, he just gets more and more clever. He has a genius for taking the defining element of a song (or video) and taking it to the next level (or even the level after that). In this case, he has VERY cleverly taken the frantic video style of Eminem’s Just Lose It video (itself a clever video, if you can get past Em’s profanity-laced lyrics) and re-skinned it. As usual, he has his finger on the pulse of all that is CURRENT and geeky.
    Man, I love that guy.

  11. Scourge says:

Anyone noted the Trivia question card he held up?

G: In what City is the alrges hall of built by one man?
E: What’s up with Lindsay Lohan? I mean, seriously?
    H: F.D.R – Was he Faking it?
AL: On what apge does Harry Potter die in the enxt book?
SN: What is the melting point of a gorilla’s head?
?: How many wicked Men are there on a 41 ?

“I’m nerdy in the extreme and whiter than sour cream” also a great joke ^^

But I gotta disagree with AndrewNZachsDad, he doesn’t makes fun of Eminem in this particular video but of Chamillionaire and his song ‘Riding DIrty’

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODdGhOOUOpI

Compare the stuff Al does, like the candles showing the pacman ;) And the thing Chamillionare has ^^

Also is the music partially the same, like the beginning.

  12. Boingophile says:

I have to agree that Mal pwns Kirk, Picard, and all those other Allia… I mean, Starfleet captains.
