This looks like SONIC (fast food place) has a MySpace page. The only reason I doubt the authenticity of this is because anyone can just make a MySpace page, but securing a domain name is a little more tricky. MySpace is becoming its own self-contained sub-internet. It’s sort of a ghetto of the internet. (I say this while admitting that even I have a MySpace page.)
I used to sneer at the walled-off slums of AOL in the mid-90’s. Now here is a new system that has arisen in response to demand. Very strange. Is this an abberation, or are other companies messing around with marketing in MySpace?

You cannot possibly be unaware of the band and label presense at MySpace, which is even supported by a hefty amount of custom software code. But of course, there’s no reason why other industries would not be able to use the site.
This, of course, is exactly the opposite direction of that taken initially by Orkut, where any sort of commercial activity is strictly prohibited. The result, naturally, is that the only commercial activity there is spam. Kinda like when you take guns from everyone, only criminals have guns.
I like the band interface – it’s one of the most interesting aspects of MySpace to me. The ability to share songs and videos makes it very easy for some garageband to toss some music online and build an audience.
I’m not sure what sonic is hoping to accomplish. It’s not like they can share hamburgers online, but I gess they can let you print out coupons. It will be interesting to see if this is the start of a trend or just an experiment.
Anyone else having bother with myspace or is it just my pc?
Last couple of days it seems it wont let me download any song from anywhere.
Anyone having same bother – or anyone how to sort it?
