Blah blah Left 4 Dead, yadda yadda read the comic blah blah.
Anyway, The Escapist is up for a Webby award. I’d love it if they won. Not just because it’s a great site, but because I’d like to see more support for this sort of content in general: Grown up, interested in fun, not given over to adolescent posturing, fanboyism, and obsession over review scores. And of course there are my own efforts.
I know it’s annoying to vote. You must register, and navigating the Webby site is not something I would categorize as a rewarding experience. But if you have the inclination your efforts would be a much appreciated show of support for the sort of stuff I do over there.
Grand Theft Auto Retrospective
This series began as a cheap little 2D overhead game and grew into the most profitable entertainment product ever made. I have a love / hate relationship with the series.
Object-Disoriented Programming
C++ is a wonderful language for making horrible code.
A Telltale Autopsy
What lessons can we learn from the abrupt demise of this once-impressive games studio?
The Plot-Driven Door
You know how videogames sometimes do that thing where it's preposterously hard to go through a simple door? This one is really bad.
Games and the Fear of Death
Why killing you might be the least scary thing a game can do.
Blah blah great comic yadda yadda first post blah blah.
To reiterate, I don’t usually laugh when I read funny things, even if I’m quite amused.
But “The Reaper” got me.
“The Reaper” got me as well. Truly, a fearsome weapon.
Im enjoying this series muchly.
I also already voted for The Escapist, if only because when they win we all get a shiny new fourm badge!
Registered. Voted.
“The Reaper” — I about LOL’d on that line as well.
The Reaper FTW!
My money’s on Boomer Bile + Fresh Human Sweat/Other Enzymes/Heat/Blood = Zombie Feeding Frenzy.
Also, I voted like AGES ago. Gee, Shamus.
Yeah, uh, me too, seriously, stop being a vote whore! ;)
*Scurries off to vote.*
The push-broom must be a fearsome implement of war indeed if he survived that horde he ran into. Hmm, I should get one to prepare for the zombie apocalypse, just in case I run outa bullets.
EDIT: If that Webby site ever comes up for a vote itself I am definitely giving it a zero, I keep having all kinds of problems trying to connect!
I’ve already voted, and forced 10 of my friends to vote under my supervision after we were done with our programming exams last week (they really put the “basic” in Visual Basic. Dull.)
Good comic ^^ my favourite of the series was 5, but this is still very good.
Voted ages ago and pestered all my friends until
theymost of them gave in and voted, too. Good Luck!
