Thankful for: A day off. Whew.
I’m not so much looking forward to tomorrow, national Take Stuff for Granted Day.
For those that are celebrating, I hope you have a great one.
Revisiting a Dead Engine
I wanted to take the file format of a late 90s shooter and read it in modern-day Unity. This is the result.
PC Hardware is Toast
This is why shopping for graphics cards is so stupid and miserable.
Fixing Match 3
For one of the most popular casual games in existence, Match 3 is actually really broken. Until one developer fixed it.
Silent Hill Turbo HD II
I was trying to make fun of how Silent Hill had lost its way but I ended up making fun of fighting games. Whatever.
Internet News is All Wrong
Why is internet news so bad, why do people prefer celebrity fluff, and how could it be made better?

Yo too, Shamus. [Sorry, this is a terrible way to point out a minor typo in your post. But I am in many ways a terrible person, so I guess that works out.]
Enjoy the day off, and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
As for national Take Stuff For Granted day… I think I’m just going to stay inside.
And maybe snag a $15 WOW battlechest (though I do feel bad about that.)
Tomorrow is also national buy nothing day. next monday is national amazon day.
A Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate same.
Happy Thanksgiving all. As for tomorrow, I’m staying safely sequestered indoors.
umm…. you know you missed thanksgiving by seven weeks,
right?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :D
I am SO glad I don’t work retail anymore.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanks Giving!
I’m preaching to the choir. I quoted something from your article about how to deter software pirates – I think Nintendo is doing what you mentioned, by selling ROMs of their own games for Wii Points. ^_^
Happy T-Day to you, Shamus. ;)
… and a happy “Take Everything from the Native Americans and then Kill Them” Day to you too.
Happy Thanksgiving all!
Happy Thanksgiving!
(And not that I really want to get into an argument, but Thanksgiving isn’t and didn’t originate as a day to celebrate the plundering of Native Americans. Iirc, it was actually at the beginning of cooperation and a treaty that lasted 50 years or so. Wish it had lasted indefinitely though.)
Congratulations Shamus! You made it on Kotaku! Bask in your awesome mention!
