This is post 1,000

It’s not actually the 1,000th post, for reasons I’ve outlined elsewhere. I’ve published 835 posts so far, so that means I’ve thrown away 16% of the stuff I’ve started.

That’s pretty much all I have to say. Hm. Not very interesting, now that I think about it.

(Now you see why I throw some away.)

    Congrats. And… First?

  2. Thad says:

Well, we humans like our round numbers. I recently hit 100, and turned that post into a Carl Sagan tribute.

  3. Vegedus says:

And as I think you mentioned earlier, this is only “exciting” (read: somewhat worthy of note) because we use base ten.

  4. Julia says:

I’ll be more excited about post #1024. :)

  5. Julia says:

And hey! 1024 is a power of the number of the comment I just posted! [happy dance]

  6. Greg says:

It’s a big round number! YES! :) (Besides, we all love numbers that include lots of zeros :D Just remember how big a deal the year 2000 was!)

  7. Matt says:

Hate to burst your bubble, but its not – someone beat you to it

  8. Thad says:

    1024 = 4^5. Yes it is.

  9. Sem says:

Only 9 posts so far and the thread is already hijacked by numerology ;) .

I know you’ve written about “Dreamfall”. I see that the longest journey will continue, episodically.

Not a big fan of the whole “episodic” thing myself.

Hmmm.. Should probably go back and finish the original game some day though.

“Just remember how big a deal the year 2000 was!”

Does this mean that something bad will/might happen? Will this explain the fate of Steve and that other guy? What was his name?
